My mother always told us that we had Native American blood. I was gifted the 23 & Me DNA kit for Christmas and the results proved my mother wrong. Not a drop of NA blood in my veins, however, I was please to see that I am 89% Irish! After living in Ireland for a year in college, I wish I had the knowledge I have now, back then. I could have learned so much more information from local, hands-on sources.

Since it does not show up, then most likely not, but not necessarily. There is a small chance you do and that it just doesn't show up in you. It also depends on how far back she was speaking of. ;)
