The "Genealogy Wish Grants" initiative is a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about uncovering their family history. This annual event selects one devoted follower who presents a COMPELLING story and awards them with a genealogy research wish that is within practical limits. It's a chance to dive deep into one's heritage, discover ancestral stories, and connect with the past in a meaningful way.

Dates:
- Entry/Application Start Date: April 1, 2024
- Entry/Application Deadline: November 11, 2024
- Winner Announced: Sometime between December 16, 2024- December 23, 2024
Genealogy Wish Grants Rules and Selection Process
Genealogy Wish Grants Entry Rules:
Interested individuals should ensure they meet all the stipulations to enhance their chances of being awarded a grant for their genealogical research wish.
Selection process:
*Notes:
- Entrants must be Loyal followers of Know Who Wears the Genes in Your Family (Ex. follows, comments, and shares content):
- Facebook PAGE
- Facebook GROUPS
- BLOG
- NEWSLETTER
- Entry request/application must be in paragraph form with a “BACKSTORY”
- Entrants agree to have their name and “wish”/story published in my BLOG
- Winner agrees to be publicized
- Applicants must apply via "Contact" form, under the "Genealogy Wish Grants Application" category in the drop down
- Applicants must provide an email and a phone number for contact purposes

- Genealogy Wish Grants DO NOT include a full, professional genealogy report or ALL records found in the search [It will include a summary of findings either verbally or written, grouped and noted DNA matches (if applicable), and access to built tree with sources and citations attached (if applicable)]
- Not to exceed 10 hours
